Job details – roles and responsibilities

Monthly Communications planning and implementation

-In collaboration with client, plot monthly communication schedule (promotional mailers, newsletters, SMSs, web banners).

– Plan related content (web articles) to support the monthly planning (and commission where relevant).

– Write copy as required for the elements (or brief junior writer to write as required).

-Conceptualise and write copy for communication elements to loyalty programme members and financial intermediaries as required by the client.

– Strong writing skills to ensure style is consistent and that complicated topics are clearly explained to the member.

–        This type of member communication includes welcome books, welcome mailers, quick programme guides, sometimes PPT and other material.


– Write copy as required for the financial website – this will include new loyalty programme benefits, terms and conditions, anything that is required.

– Strong writing skills to ensure style is consistent and that complicated topics are clearly explained to the member.

–  Plan editorial content for the website platform.

– Commission writers and maintain a good freelance base of financial writers to contribute to this project.

-Ability to plan and edit the content to the next level to include infographics and quizzes and potentially more interactive content (ie video and gamification).

Print and digital magazines

-Manage a strong base of good freelancer writers to contribute and write for the brand’s customer-facing print magazine.

– Plan the content for each issue and commission writers.

–  Create a flatplan.

-Edit the articles and work with design to ensure they achieve the levels of excellence required by client.

–  Write content as required.

–  Ensure the Brand communication message is relayed in the magazine. Plan with client to ensure important programme highlights and milestones and explained and detailed.

–  Ensure editorial correctness and excellence.

–  Work with client to make corrections.

–  Manage the freelance editorial budget.

– Plan and present the on-going strategy for the magazine annually.

– Create marketing material around the digital mags to promote them and drive engagement, on website and on social media.
