We have a smoking hot job opportunity for a Mid-weight Creative Designer to work in-house at a funky, vibey and energetic street culture brand.   The ideal candidate for this terrific role will have a conceptual design background and digital implementation.  You should possess a true love for design, be comfortable working across mixed and various platforms.  Projects will include global and local campaign ideation and implementation, in-house content production, events and activations, branded collateral packaging, digital design elements and product design. The brand’s growth and entrepreneurial spirit means the role is constantly evolving.   The designer needs to be flexible and able to use their creative and project management skills to deliver quality work. Attention to detail, ability to proactively make things happen and be a part of the team are key competencies.  The role would suit a through the line designer who wants to experience an in-house studio and be part of a very lively company culture.  

 

Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Proven Adobe Photoshop, illustrator and InDesign skills
  • After Effects skills is beneficial
  • Strong understanding of design principles (i.e. typography, layout, etc.)
  • Strong digital design with experience in digital layouts
  • Strong understanding of concepting and developing all social content
  • Interest in following global trends
  • Strong understanding of packaging design and getting work print-ready
  • Ability to conceptualise ideas and bring them to life visually
  • The ability to define and uphold the brands corporate identity
  • Excellent time management and quality management skills are essential
  • Understanding how design influences the way people interact/engage online is important
  • Have a career-driven outlook (proactive research and continuous self-improvement)
  • Have a collaborative approach and the ability to problem-solve and think strategically
  • Fluency with design mock-ups – e.g. scamp and sketching
  • Valid code EB driver’s license
  • Love for street culture
  • Creative and conceptual
  • Love for design and anything digital
  • Pays attention to detail and quality
  • Passionate about design and the role it plays in effective marketing
  • Up to date with the latest design trends, best practices and technology
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
