A super opportunity has become available for a mid-weight Digital Marketing Manager at a well-loved retailer’s Cape Town office to work on their Africa region offering. In this exciting role you will be responsible for managing Digital Marketing platforms and research initiatives to gather consumer behaviour trends, encompassing everything from brand awareness to product promotion. The ideal candidate has retail experience as well as experience working in African markets.   • Develop and maintain/manage Digital Marketing campaigns
  • Formulate and implement plans to drive online traffic to the brand’s Africa websites
  • Manage online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness
  • Manage and maintain the brand’s Africa websites and Social Media pages
  • Planning and budgetary control of all Digital Marketing
  • Measuring and reporting on the performance of all Digital Marketing campaigns
  • Manage creative process including copywriting and translations, where applicable, for all Digital Marketing activities
  • Conduct market research to gather consumer insights, habits and trends
  • Liaise with external suppliers to execute promotional events and campaigns
  • Assist in analysing Marketing data (i.e. campaign results, conversion rates, traffic) to help shape future marketing strategies
  • Ad hoc duties and involvement in projects as required


The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Relevant business degree (i.e. Digital Marketing/Marketing Management)
  • 3 + years’ experience in Digital Marketing, preferably in the retail sector
  • Experience in Marketing data analytics, tools and market research methods
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office) – Intermediate level, including marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google AdWords etc.)
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal & written) and presentation skills
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind
  • South African Citizen
  • Experience in African markets and copywriting background – will be an added advantage.
