Purpose of the role:                    

The Jet Group Head would be responsible for all Art Direction responsibilities on the Jet ATL account. The position is 100% focused on fashion retail creative, that consists mostly of producing creative for Windows Point of Sale, Catalogues and stills imagery for the ATL account. Experience in print artwork is essential. There is room to grow into a Creative Director. There is a team of Art Directors the role would need to manage on a day to day basis as well as from a team performance perspective. While the role is focused on exceptional art direction and fashion editorial style shoots, there is also an element of conceptual work that needs to be done. Their area of focus is any visuals, design, layout and photography that accompany copy from a ATL Copywriter.


Day to day:

  • To produce and craft original and usable creative concepts with ATL Art Directors and Copywriting teams in response to creative briefs
  • Work closely with the Art Buyer to produce excellent fashion shoots
  • Work closely with suppliers like stylists, photographers etc… to produce excellent fashion shoots and visuals that promote the Jet brand and move the brand forward into a fashion-forward and focused space
  • To work with a bigger creative team, as a team player ready to take on any project that may come into the creative studio
  • To present work internally and externally in a clear and professional manner
  • Work closely with relevant account teams, ensuring effective communication and management of teams’ expectations
  • Work with account teams to understand the clients’ brand and manage projects in a way that will support the delivery of the brand
  • To manage and take ownership of projects from origination to completion
  • Collaborate with the Digital CD in order to create work that is integrated across various platforms
  • Accurate recording of work time


  • Disseminate learning through other creative teams and the department
  • To develop skills and knowledge within yourself through on the job development, active participation in the agency and department
  • Provide feedback to the Art Directors regarding improvements that could be made to your team, the department and agency
  • Create clear goals for yourself and set out to achieve your goals
  • Actively support and involve team members at the appropriate time to resolve issues

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Art Direction (or a degree in communication/design / fine art etc. that shows competent visual skills)
  • Minimum experience: 5 years, of which proven shoot experience is essential
  • A passion to be a Group Head Art Director and a desire to grow into a more senior CD role
  • A sound knowledge of the relevant structures and processes in the agency
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Confident communication skill

Computer literacy:

  • InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, iMovie
  • MS Word
  • MS PowerPoint or Keynote
  • MS Outlook
  • And any other programmes or presentation tools necessary in order to perform the job
