We have a fabulous opportunity for a Marketing Manager at a trendy and contemporary, global online furniture retailer’s Cape Town office. The company, offering bespoke creations is in search of a dynamic candidate to join their South African team. The role has a strong focus on Digital and eCommerce – B2C and will be moving into B2B. We’re looking for someone with an innate ability to work in a collaborative team environment to develop and drive the company’s national marketing strategies and initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses key strengths and knowledge in Print and Digital Media Advertising, Social Media, Influencers and Bloggers, Newsletters, Direct-Marketing, Content Writing and Event Planning.   • Create Marketing Plans
  • Refining and implementing the marketing strategy and plan – overall game plan for finding clients and customers 
  • Business Strategy – marketing alignment    
  • Instilling a marketing led ethos throughout the business
  • Researching and reporting on external business marketing opportunities
  • Understanding current and potential customers, B2C and B2B
  • Managing the customer journey (customer relationship management) and Customer Service 
  • Management of the marketing mix – Product | Price | Place | Promotion (sales) 
  • Managing the Print and Digital spread – all communication
  • Social Media and Google advertising 
  • Curating and overseeing Visual Merchandising and range and product flight-planning (national showrooms – Cape Town & Johannesburg) 
  • Managing agencies
  • Measuring sales success against marketing spend 
  • Managing Marketing budgets
  • Developing Marketing guidelines
  • Making customer focused decisions
  • Consistent innovation. 

The successful candidate must have/be:

  • BComm in Marketing/related Business Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Digital Marketing in the homeware or furniture arena – a plus
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Highly driven and motivated
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Digital retail space
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • An innate ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Highly organised and analytical with a head for proactive planning and problem-solving
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Suite including Office and Excel and Adobe Illustrator
  • A keen eye for visual merchandising
