Regional Digital Lead/Strategist: Global Digital Agency – Accra, Ghana

A global Digital powerhouse that delivers end-to-end Digital transformation capabilities for their clients is on the lookout for a Regional Digital Lead/Strategist to be based in Accra, Ghana. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for driving the Digital transformation agenda for a very large FMCG client across Central West Africa. You will be on the ground in Accra advising our client while working with the agency’s Digital Production Hub in South Africa. Your entrepreneurial skills and knowledge of the African Digital landscape will demonstrate your ability to build and invest in relationships and deliver world-class Digital work for clients across Central West Africa. Your time will be predominantly spent in the Ghana office in Accra, but frequent travel to South Africa and within West Africa is required. This opportunity is open to South African’s looking to work in Ghana.
- Deliver world-class Digital work;
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships with senior clients across the West African Region (key markets include Nigeria and Ivory Coast)
- Developing, presenting and executing Digital strategies in a multi-market environment;
- Creating and delivering engaging presentations to clients at a senior level including regional, local and global clients;
- Project analysis and reporting;
- Financial responsibility for revenue growth and project profitability;
- Staying informed of trends in the digitally-enabled world – primarily within the African landscape – and how they affect client’s business and marketing initiatives;
- Oversee, develop and present proposals, pitch concepts and rationale to key clients; directors, agency partners and other team members to review and develop client-centric strategic, innovative recommendations;
- Work closely with agency management teams to execute work;
- Develop case studies on clients’ business;
- Orchestrate delivery of multiple products/services to client;
- Lead and coach a team in the delivery and demonstration of quality Client Services and Digital experience.
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Relevant Degree/Diploma
- A recognised Digital expert with a minimum of 8 years’ experience.
- A track record of Digital Marketing in African or other relevant developing markets.
- 3+years’ experience managing a team
- Able to live in Accra, Ghana and travel once a month
- Languages: English required, French advantageous
- Strong client service experience in the Digital Marketing space
- Exceptional Digital strategic-thinking capabilities
- Significant experience in FMCG
- Experience in managing teams
- Strong budget management experience
- Project Management experience
- Experience of driving well-known brands
- Strong experience working within Africa
- Thoughtful, strategic and can-do attitude
