We have a superb opportunity for a mid-weight SEM Specialist/Pay-per-Click Manager at a global advisory consultancy based in Cape Town. In this exciting role you will be required to develop, implement, monitor and report on the paid search campaigns as per business objectives. This includes campaigns optimisation, testing, planning, calendar management, budget management, platform selection, and reporting. SEO expertise and skills are advantageous for this position. The role holds weight as the SEM specialist has direct implications on the business bottom line (revenue) as the performance of websites and search campaigns directly generate new leads for the business. You will work alongside the CRM team, IT/Web and App team, Brand team, Head of Group Marketing and Communication and external agencies. The company boasts over 30 offices worldwide, servicing an increasing number of internationally mobile entrepreneurs and investors.   • Effectively build, manage and optimise paid search campaigns
  • Implement and optimise remarketing strategies
  • Seeks new ways to improve campaign performance
  • Monitor campaign performance
  • Seek out areas for campaign expansion within paid search platforms
  • Increase ROI, quality of leads and cost effectiveness of future SEM activities
  • Work with Content Writers to create and optimise effective ads and landing pages for SEM campaigns
  • Drive optimisation innovation and proactivity in the approach to campaign performance
  • Monitor and report back on campaign performance
  • Support in the setup and management of SEM campaigns for new course launches, brand projects and market testing across platforms.
  • Attend daily, weekly and monthly meetings with various parties to align and execute overall business objectives
  • Management of the global digital marketing budgets for search marketing


The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Tertiary institution qualification (Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma)
  • A minimum of three-five years’ experience in Search Marketing and Search Optimisation role
  • Managing and implementing DoubleClick Technology
  • Highly skilled in Google AdWords (implementation and running of campaigns)
  • Excellent understanding of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Technical knowledge and implementation of tracking scripts/pixels
  • Technical knowledge and implementation of the different types of remarketing and remarketing strategies
  • Extensive experience in the analysis, measurement, and reporting of SEM
  • Financial and numerical skills
  • Excellent understanding of MS Excel
  • Experience in DoubleClick Technology – beneficial
  • Experience in SEO strategies and implementation
  • Data analysis and quantification skills – able to analyse the performance of campaigns and gather insights from this analysis to improve future performance
