Want to go client side – working for a group that represents a well-known global sportswear brand in SA?

We’re looking for a Social and Digital Community Manager to drive the digital profile of the brand and build strong and engaged online communities.

The role is based in Cape Town and forms part of the Marketing team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Marketing / Advertising qualification
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in social / digital marketing
  • Experience in managing content across all social networks
  • In-depth knowledge of digital and social media monitoring tools (Brands Eye, Crimson Hexagon, Meltwater and/or other listening tools)
  • A global understanding of the digital landscape to include lead generation for e-comm, CRM and Social Community to grow brand and drive sales conversion
  • A strong understanding of brands and the sports apparel industry

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy and Planning

  • Alongside the marketing team, drive the creation, conception and presentation of social media strategy and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Ensure thought-leadership in digital to drive the conversation and behaviour through the business, closely integrating all channels
  • Take ownership of the digital footprint of the brand in SA
  • CRM knowledge and understanding
  • Assist with preparation for integration with E-commerce

Community Management

  • Liaise with internal product teams for content and customer service
  • Create and maintain content plans, including writing posts, and publishing relevant content to manage and optimize social pages
  • Review user-generated comments and posts in a quick and timely manner
  • Respond to comments, when appropriate, to build positive communities
  • Enforce social media guidelines defined by the brand and elevate internal understanding
  • Escalate user-generated content, where appropriate, to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure immersed and seamless brand tone
  • Use analytics and/or social listening tools to generate insights to create actionable reports that lead to optimization
  • Monitor for emerging crises and opportunities for agile content
  • Data base growth and management

Campaign Planning & Implementation

  • Assist with the planning and execution of web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Work with influencers, brand athletes and 3rd party digital communities
  • Partner with teams through the content creation process, contributing with ideas and assuring alignment to strategic direction
  • Plan and manage the third party digital and social assets and campaigns
  • Management of digital communication channels (eg newsletters, SMS, WhatsApp)
  • Coordination with the digital agency to ensure a seamless digital footprint

Reporting & Digital Intelligence

  • Use analytics and/or social listening tools to generate insights to create actionable reports that lead to optimization
  • Monthly reports for both local business and global brand feedback
  • Basic budget and cost analysis and management
