PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Overall management of the training and upskill programmes of SMME’s and the achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives in this regard.

SCOPE

The Enterprise Development Manager will report to the CEO and ensure the realisation of the organisation’s strategic business, ED objectives, PR and marketing and optimise quality service delivery by enhancing procedures, systems and policies within the full scope of the ED projects through utilisation of available resources.

The ED Manager”s focused role is centered around the development, implementation and evaluation of the following ED Programmes:

  • Programmes :
    • Incubator Assisted Programmes
    • Innovator Trust Accelerator Programme
    • Academic Programmes
    • Alumni Programme
    • Bespoke Training
    • Health and Safety Programmes
  • Youth Entrepreneurship Programme:
    • Training Programme Management
    • Internship Programme Management
  • Marketing, PR and Events

ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT MANGER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, Manage, Maintain Enterprise Development programmes in line with the organisations strategic objectives.
Identify appropriate outsourced ED Partners and manage key outputs and intervention as and when required across the various programs.

Manage IP to provide with updated database with information of all appropriate skills, resources and other relevant data for the programme for auditing purposes
Manage and report on progress of Incubator Partners and the Beneficiaries

Administration:

  • Management of the ED programmes and Beneficiary databases
  • Stakeholder and Supplier management
  • Development of ED Material utilised across all programmes
  • Management of ED Administrative Systems
  • Management of ED Programmes Compliance and Audit system
  • Management of Beneficiary application process

Communication:

  • Manage the development of the marketing strategy for recruitment and ED programmes
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the ED programme communications
  • Managing marketing and PR activities in line with budget for ED webinars and programmes.
  • eg Lead generation campaigns with measurable results.
  • Ensuring a high regard for brand management, brand reputation and corporate identity
  • Maintain effective internal and external communications to ensure that all relevant stakeholders are kept informed.

Management, Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • General management- planning, organising, leading, supervising, measuring inputs and outputs
  • Contractual Management
  • Monitor progress and acquire relevant documentation from beneficiaries for auditing purposes
  • Management of the collation of ED statistics and reporting for ED projects within specified timelines
  • Facilitate and monitor stakeholder meetings.
  • Produce and maintain an accurate electronic and manual records timeously
  • Manage and report on progress of Stakeholder Partners and the Beneficiaries

Finance

  • Budget control, Management and Forecasting
  • Project budget reconciliation

Event Management:

  • Participate in the Event Conceptualisation and Projects Management incl Brand Management
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Develop, Implement and monitor ED event calendar

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree
  • More than 5 years professional working experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in a managerial role
  • Minimum of 3 Years Enterprise Development Experience
  • Experience in Project Management
  • MS office, MS word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Candidate is required to travel

Experience/Knowledge

  • Proven ability to apply a business or commercial thought process in decision making, planning and implementation of projects
  • The ability to foster, nurture and encourage growth between SMMEs and the organization ensuring mutually beneficial relations
  • Be able to communicate effectively at all levels, ensuring understanding, trust, buy-in and commitment from internal and external stakeholders
  • Good networking skills

Salary: R30 - 40 000
