We have an exciting 6-month contract job opportunity for a senior Account Manager at an admired Boutique Agency based in Cape Town. In this role you will act as key client liaison, managing the day-to-day deliverables of brand’s communication plan internally, with partners and with client. You will report in to the Account Director and BUD.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in managing the strategic, creative development and production of creative campaigns
- Assisting in managing marketing and/or strategic projects
- Assisting in the management of day-to-day account situations/miscellaneous requests from clients
- Coordinating efforts with media, activation, digital, PR agencies that your client/brand uses
- Issuing contact reports and/or meeting recaps via e-mail
- Setting up meetings internally and with the client
- Managing and organising files in a way that’s easily accessible
- Manage the status of a job or project. Not traffic it, but manage it
- Informing agency of deadlines (air dates, presentation dates, etc.)
- Issuing a status report to the client with all relevant information, deadlines, and costs pertaining to all projects/jobs in the system
- Sometimes may include leading internal status meetings with the agency to make sure everyone’s on the same page
- Be an expert on new happenings related to advertising within your client’s categories
- Provide competitive analysis on new advertising and implications for your client
- Present competitive analysis to your internal team and/or the client on a periodic basis
- Keep abreast of evolving advertising trends, and how they may affect your work
- Suggest potential brand/business building ideas for the agency and/or client based on industry updates
- Maintaining budgets, estimates
- Issuing and gaining client approval on project estimates
- Alerting client of any changes in costs, budget, spending, etc.
- Sending client invoices (& when requested a summary statement)
- Following up with clients on payments
- Managing your client’s advertising budget
- Tracking Scope of Work documents for clients and forecasting internally
- Good understanding of positioning and strategy
- Help brand teams make informed decisions regarding the brand
- Ensure creative work is on brand
- Understand and interpret strategy
- Manage client relationships
- Identifying and realising new opportunities for clients’ brands, as well as the agency
- Continuous and consistent quality of work through planning,
co-ordination and problem solving - Good understanding of client, industry and business
- Good understanding of agency business model and processes
