We have a terrific opportunity for a vibrant, junior to mid-weight Social Media Specialist to join the Social Media department at a well-established full-service Digital agency in Cape Town’s Bloubergstrand. We’re looking for someone with an excellent command of the English language, who is able to write for different audiences. The agency works predominantly with small to medium lifestyle B2C clients, giving you the opportunity to create content for some super accounts. This is a client facing role and the successful candidate will be responsible for running the platforms. If you know your way around Meta/Facebook Business Manager with proficiency and have some experience with paid social campaigns, reporting and Google Analytics, (even if it’s basic), we’re looking for you!   • Management of various social media profiles
  • Compiling monthly content for (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
  • Social Media Community Management
  • Briefing content requirements into the studio to meet agreed lead times
  • Management of Paid Media & Budgets
  • Analysing Statistics & Compiling Reports
  • Building a strategy based on client’s existing brand and business goals
  • Developing, planning and monitoring social media campaigns.
  • Reporting on and monitoring social media trends and competitor content
  • Copywriting & Proofreading
  • Building, developing and maintaining relationships with clients.

The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or similar
  • 3 – 5 years in marketing or a similar position
  • Extensive experience with Social Media Marketing
  • Strong communicator and able to communicate with people from all walks of life
  • Excellent writing skills and experience writing captivating content
  • Passionate, energetic and motivated go-getter who wants to make a difference
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, Tik Tok)
  • Extensive experience working with Facebook Business Manager & Ads Manager
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Paid Advertising 
  • A proactive team player with strong initiative and a creative mindset 
  • Deadline driven, able to perform under pressure and takes accountability for work
  • Results driven and strategic minded
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
